Essential Ideas
  • Graphs of the form y = xn.

     
    If n > 1 the curve is concave up, and if 0 < n < 1 the curve is concave down.

  • To graph a radical function, look at the intercepts and asymptotes, and investigate the domain of the function, if possible.
