This problem is designed to get you thinking about the procedure rather
than the an answer.
In Chapters 1 and 2 we discussed estimating, and that theme is carried
out with these problems. These problems are not intended to be pencil
and paper problems, but rather are designed to get you thinking about
"reasonable" answers. Don't be afraid to give these results your "best
guess," and then check with the answer.
See Examples 1 and 2. These problems are a continuation of what you
did in the last section, but you can not write down the answer. You need
to focus on what you are doing to both sides of the given equations.
