There are many problems throughout the text labeled IN YOUR OWN WORDS.
Just relax. Do not be afraid to give your opinion. For the most part,
these questions do not have "right" or "wrong" answers. You should spend
about five minutes in answering each of these questions.
See Example 2. Being able to recognize similar terms is one of the most Essential Ideas of algebra. These problems are designed to test your ability to do this.
If you don't understand these problems, ask your instructor for some help.

One of the most difficult parts of word problems is taking the time
to read what they actually ask. The best homework hint for these problems
is to read slowly, reread, answer, and then read the problem again to
make sure you have answered the question that was asked.
